Long service in the Choir is not unusual at Bolsterstone. We still have a member who was singing with us at the birth of the Choir in the 1930s. Clarry Dyson has been with us since 1936, joining only two years after the Choir was founded. Raymond Pearson joined in 1948 and several joined over 40 years ago.
All our long serving members say that the reason they have stayed so long is not just the quality of the Choir and their love for the music but also the companionship of a large number of men of similar interests. At the moment the Choir has 82 singing members and is always happy to welcome newcomers. At present, the majority of members are in the 50 - 65 age range, although there are about a dozen younger men.

Rehearsals are every Monday in the Bolsterstone Village Hall, commencing at 7.30pm (1930 hrs) until 9.30 pm (2130hrs). Split rehearsals are held in the Castle Inn. Second rehearsals are held before competitions on Thursdays at the same time.

Anyone who wishes to join the Choir should contact the Secretary or come along to a rehearsal with any Choir member. It is always possible for any prospective member to attend any rehearsal, where they are welcome either to listen or to sing.
